The Dipbach solar park is located on a gentle southern slope between Dipbach and Püssenheim. It has a fenced area of around five hectares and will produce 5321 kilowatt-peak (kWp) annually. This is enough to cover the annual needs of 1500 average four-person households. Around 11,775 modules as well as 28 inverters and two transformer stations were installed on the site. Special feature: The transformer stations were provided with a gable roof. The feed-in point for the system with the transfer station is just 200 metres away. The ground-mounted photovoltaic park is owned half by a company based in Kamen (North Rhine-Westphalia) and half by the cooperative "Bürgerenergie Pleichach-Kürnach" based in Bergtheim. All the electricity generated by the Dipbach solar park is purchased from RWE in Essen by means of a PPA and sold to industrial end-customers. The plant operates completely without EEG subsidies.
