As a comprehensive infrastructure provider, we develop and operate both our own projects (as an IPP) and client projects. Our wide-ranging portfolio of services includes the development, consultancy, planning, construction and operation of solar parks – on open land through MaxSolar and on rooftops through our subsidiary Energy Partners. In addition, we offer attractive opportunities for land leasing and investment. We are committed to long-term and reliable partnerships with businesses, local authorities, landowners, investors and operators.
Drawing on many years of experience and a high level of technical expertise, we develop, build and operate ground-mounted solar parks.
When developing and planning photovoltaic systems, various types of land suitable for this purpose are considered. A wide range of factors are taken into account, such as solar radiation, the accessibility of the site for construction and grid connection, as well as environmental regulations and social impacts.
Examples of suitable sites include:
Agricultural land and grassland may only be used for photovoltaic installations if they are situated in a less-favoured area as defined by Directive 86/465/EEC and have been approved for photovoltaic use by the federal states.
When constructing ground-mounted photovoltaic installations, we place great emphasis on individuality and precision at every stage of the process. We rely on tested, durable components – modules, substructures and inverters. In our design, we take into account solar irradiance, grid connection, environmental regulations, shading and the possibility of future expansion, for example through battery energy storage systems (BESS) or charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs).
A study by the Bundesverband Neue Energiewirtschaft e.V. (bne) also shows that ground-mounted photovoltaic systems can make a significant contribution to regional biodiversity. The installation of a solar park significantly enhances the ecological value of the land compared to arable or intensive grassland use.
