The Eppingen substation (Heilbronn district) officially went into operation in October 2025, enabling the connection of the neighbouring Gemmingen solar park with a capacity of 60 MW.
The symbolic ground-breaking ceremonies in April 2025 – both at the substation construction site and at the solar park – marked the start of this significant construction project. Thanks to the generous dimensions of the substation, the connection of another solar park in Eppingen with a capacity of around 30 MW is already being planned.
