Traunstein, 01.02.2024

Company receives award for its innovative strength / Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates at award ceremony in June

Newly crowned innovation champion: MaxSolar GmbH from Traunstein has received the TOP 100 seal 2024. This award is only given to particularly innovative medium-sized companies. Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate MaxSolar on this success at the award ceremony on June 28 in Weimar. Yogeshwar has been mentoring the TOP 100 innovation competition for twelve years.

On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team examined the innovative strength of all participants on the basis of more than 100 criteria from five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. "Are the companies able to create new products, new services, new processes and new business models? And are these achievements just coincidences or the result of a structured and targeted approach? These are the questions we examine at TOP 100," says Nikolaus Franke, explaining his approach to the review. It is also important how and whether innovations and product improvements have been able to establish themselves on the market (further information on the test criteria can be found at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien).

MaxSolar prevailed in the scientific selection process and is among the top innovators for the 3rd time. The company has established itself as a key partner for companies and local authorities on the road to climate neutrality. Our expertise covers the planning, construction and operation of photovoltaic systems and the entire integrated infrastructure. The systems have long been linked to advanced battery storage systems and e-mobility solutions. The increasing demand for the company's renewable energy solutions has led to rapid growth. The company now has over 300 employees and will continue to grow in the future. This positive development is also reflected in the company's turnover, which almost doubled in 2023. With regard to developments, Christoph Strasser emphasizes: "We are already looking ahead to 2024 and 2025, where exciting major innovation projects are on the horizon. Our focus is on developing sustainable solutions that actively drive forward the energy transition, have a positive impact on the environment and also make rural regions sustainable and independent."

To ensure equal opportunities, the TOP 100 seal is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees. In the 31st edition of the innovation competition, 388 SMEs applied for the award. 287 were successful and have carried the TOP 100 seal since February 1, 2024. A maximum of 100 companies per size category can be awarded.

On June 28, all of the top innovators of the year 2024 will gather at the "congress centrum weimarhalle" for the award ceremony as part of the German SME Summit. Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate them on their TOP 100 success.
