MaxSolar GmbH signs Corporate PPA supporting sustainable and competitive digital infrastructure

Press release

Traunstein, 06.02.2026

Infrastructure developer MaxSolar GmbH has entered into a long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a tech company for the supply of green electricity. Under the ten-year agreement, the tech player will source renewable power from two ground-mounted photovoltaic projects located in Memmendorf (Saxony, Germany) and Pahlen (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany), with deliveries scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026.

The photovoltaic plants are currently under construction and are expected to be commissioned in 2026. Electricity will be delivered physically under a Pay-as-Nominated structure, complemented by guarantees of origin for the supplied power.

The agreement underlines the growing strategic importance of cost-efficient and sustainable energy supply for the technology sector. AI solution providers, software companies, data centers and further tech companies are among the fastest-growing electricity consumers. At the same time, they are increasingly becoming part of Germany’s critical infrastructure, making secure, reliable and green energy supply a key competitiveness and resilience factor.

“This agreement once again demonstrates the future viability of solar PPAs and shows how companies can reduce risk while optimising the alignment between electricity generation and consumption using models such as Pay-as-Nominated,” said Anwar Darwich, Commercial Director at MaxSolar. “The partnership with a tech company reflects the rising demand within the tech sector for flexible, sustainable and economically attractive energy solutions.”

Christoph Strasser, CEO of MaxSolar GmbH, added: “Reliable access to affordable and green electricity is becoming a decisive location factor - especially for technology-driven companies. As energy demand from digital infrastructure continues to grow, companies in the tech sector need to strategically reposition themselves in Germany and actively secure sustainable power supply as part of their long-term infrastructure strategy.”

With this latest PPA, MaxSolar further strengthens its position as a trusted partner for companies seeking to decarbonise their operations while enhancing energy independence, resilience and long-term competitiveness. The agreement highlights how renewable energy infrastructure and corporate energy procurement can jointly contribute to a future-proof, digital and sustainable economy.
