Press release

Traunstein, 12.06.2024

MaxSolar GmbH has successfully put the new electric charging points into operation at the hiking car park at the foot of the Geigelstein. This expansion of the charging infrastructure offers summer and winter sports enthusiasts the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles with clean green electricity at a total of three charging points. Each charging station with two AC charging points provides a charging capacity of 11 kilowatts of alternating current per charging point around the clock.

In addition to the existing locations in Kampenwandstraße (tourist information centre), Müllner-Peter-Weg (Sachrang Museum), Schloßbergstraße (festival hall), Scheibenwandstraße (Prientalpassage) and at the natural outdoor swimming pool, Aschau now offers a comprehensive range of services for all electric riders with this new location.

‘The expansion of charging options is an important step towards sustainable mobility in Chiemgau,’ says Stefan Aberger, Municipal Energy & Property Manager of the municipality of Aschau.Florian Scharnagl, Project Manager at MaxSolar, confirms: ‘The municipality of Aschau is setting new standards in the expansion of the charging infrastructure. In particular, the comprehensive availability makes it possible to utilise the charging time sensibly for every activity - whether swimming, hiking or just shopping. The combination of AC and DC charging stations creates the right charging option for every charging need.’

With this initiative, MaxSolar is helping to promote electromobility and reduce CO₂ emissions by providing a reliable and sustainable charging infrastructure in Chiemgau.
