The next milestone of the Hartinger Group from Rosenheim for the revitalisation of the station forecourt in Traunstein is taking shape. The second construction phase will create an office building with over 2,600 square metres, with the aim of creating a modern working environment spread over four floors, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and design. With more than 70 electrified parking spaces, MaxSolar is creating one of the largest e-mobility projects in south-east Upper Bavaria close to the city centre. Completion is planned for summer 2025.
The client, Mr Michael Hartinger from Rosenheim, and the tenant, MaxSolar GmbH from Traunstein, are sending a strong signal for growth and solidarity with the region with the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony for a new office building at the Traunstein railway station site. On 17 April 2024, representatives from state and local politics, the business association and companies from the individual trades gathered to celebrate the official launch of the construction project.
The building, which cost around eight million euros, was planned by the Rosenheim architect Rudolf Hauser. The Traunstein-based architectural firm Romstätter und Partner is supervising the construction work. Florian Kreuz, Managing Director of the Hartinger Group and representative of the client, Mr Michael Hartinger, emphasises: ‘MaxSolar as a tenant perfectly complements the ecological and structural sustainability concept to create a place for modernity, attractiveness and sustainability in Traunstein. With the functional and aesthetic design of the building, the station forecourt will become a dynamic flagship for the town of Traunstein.’
With the move into the new office building, the regional energy company MaxSolar is expanding its capacities and creating over 200 state-of-the-art and future-orientated jobs in Chiemgau. The new office building not only marks a significant increase in the local workforce, but is also a clear commitment to the region and its people. Christoph Strasser, Managing Director of MaxSolar, commented on the start of construction with great pleasure: ‘This ground-breaking ceremony marks another milestone for us as a company and is a clear commitment to the region. For me, it is important that we not only create more jobs here in Chiemgau, but also provide a state-of-the-art co-working space on an entire floor of the building as an engineering service provider with office locations throughout Germany in the vicinity of the new campus, in order to give young and dynamic companies a platform for working and networking.’
The Lord Mayor of Traunstein, Christian Hümmer, emphasises the importance of the project for urban development: ‘From the outset, the redevelopment of the station area was designed to create added value for the city. With this symbolic ground-breaking ceremony, we are laying the foundation stone for the revitalisation of the station quarter. With MaxSolar, a company that is innovative and active in the field of renewable energies is also settling there, which will bring double added value for the region.’

In addition to its headquarters in Traunstein, MaxSolar is also recording continuous growth at its branches in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich.
