The car park behind the town hall in the Upper Bavarian municipality of Neuötting is a further step towards more electromobility and sustainability. MaxSolar realised a solar carport with twelve parking spaces and three e-charging columns, each with two charging points, for the Innsalzach eG citizens' energy cooperative as the operator. The PV system on the carport roof consists of 85 modules with an output of almost 30 kilowatts peak (kW) - which are fed directly into the town hall. The 30,000 kilowatt hours that can be achieved represent 17 per cent of the total electricity consumption in the town hall, avoiding an estimated 17.8 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
