A new rooftop photovoltaic system with an output of 840 kWp has recently gone into operation, supplying the long-established Lower Bavarian company Frischhut directly with climate-friendly solar power.

Frischhut manufactures high-quality cast products for water supply and mechanical engineering at its two production sites in Pfarrkirchen and Neumarkt-Sankt Veit. The products are unique in terms of quality, sustainable and often system-relevant. Thanks to the new photovoltaic roof system, the company, which already purchases certified green electricity, now also benefits from energy generated directly on site and is becoming partially energy self-sufficient.

The new photovoltaic system is operated via an on-site power purchase agreement (PPA), which enables a direct physical supply of electricity at the plant in Pfarrkirchen. This means that Frischhut GmbH benefits directly from the solar energy generated on site and thus further improves its environmental footprint.
