In mid-August, the Cooperation Forum for Large Battery Energy Storage (BESS) of the Research Centre for Energy Economics officially launched – and we at MaxSolar are proud to be part of this forward-looking initiative! Together with numerous players in the industry, we are taking an important step towards solving the challenges in the field of BESS.
38 partners. 4 areas of action. One goal:
Working together to tackle the current challenges in the field of large-scale battery storage and develop viable solutions.
The forum brings together project developers, storage operators, grid operators, energy suppliers and marketers – a strong alliance that demonstrates how important cooperation is in the industry. Only through mutual exchange can we achieve progress.
Our topics for the coming months:
Grid connection requests
Flexible grid connection agreements
Grid storage fees
Co-location
This is how we proceed:
Solution-oriented forum for structuring and objectifying the debate
Neutral, scientifically sound analysis of current issues
Derivation of consensus-based solutions and communication to the relevant decision-makers (including the Federal Network Agency, BMWE and associations)
Our initial focus will be on grid connection requests, starting in September. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a survey on current issues or sign up for an individual background discussion. We look forward to some exciting discussions.
