We recently donated ten pallets of photovoltaic modules from the manufacturer Trinasolar to Ukraine. The modules arrived in the cities of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Chortkiv and Chernitsvi in the second week of June and will help to restore the energy supply in the affected regions.
The path to this donation began at this year's PV Symposium in Bad Staffelstein, where our colleague Martin Zillner (Team Leader Electrical Planning) got to know the Biohaus Foundation. The foundation is actively committed to bringing photovoltaic technologies to Ukraine - especially in areas that are in urgent need of a reliable source of energy following the destruction of their infrastructure. It puts together complete solar system packages that are installed on site. The installation is carried out not only by skilled workers, but also by solar technicians who are trained in the newly opened Greenpeace office in Kiev.
Thanks to the cooperation with other partners such as Greenpeace Germany and Ukrainehilfe Paderborn, this valuable support could be realised.
