In early August, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Agri-PV project took place in Oberndorf am Lech (Donau-Ries District, Bavaria) – a significant step toward sustainable energy generation and innovative agriculture.
Together with numerous partners, including the Feldwerke team, investors, the mayor, municipal representatives, and the Schletter Group, we had the honor of celebrating the groundbreaking. The project marks an important milestone as one of the largest Agri-PV projects in Germany, which was approved in a record time of only six months, thanks to close collaboration with the municipality and the relevant authorities.
The 17-megawatt project spans an area of 28 hectares. Notably, at least 85% of the land will continue to be used for agricultural purposes. Another highlight of the project is the use of modern 2P tracker technology, which enables a 20-30% higher energy yield.
The project has received broad support both from the local council and the public, serving as a prime example of successfully integrating sustainable energy, regional value creation, and modern agriculture.
