News from Harbke (Börde district, Saxony-Anhalt)

In Harbke, in the district of Börde, we are currently building a photovoltaic project with a capacity of 50 megawatts for our customer RP Global. The project combines innovative technology with historical features and impressive teamwork.

The project site itself is historically remarkable: the Wulfersdorf slag heap was once one of the oldest open-cast lignite mines in Germany. In addition, the death strip on the inner-German border ran through here until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Access via the listed Kolonnenweg road, which must be preserved despite the construction work, is particularly challenging. At the same time, the site offers technical advantages: it already has two power lines, so no additional grid expansion is required for the PV system. The municipality of Harbke has officially rezoned the area for renewable energy production, so the implementation is legally secure.
