Employees who took part in the city cycling event in Traunstein under the motto "Cycling for a good climate" were able to collect their kilometers and post them to a joint account. Every kilometer "cycled" was then rewarded by MaxSolar with a donation of 20 cents for the new children's hospital.
All participants pedaled hard for the good of the climate and children. A proud 7,499 kilometers and thus around 1,500 euros were collected, which the managing director Christoph Strasser doubled again. The donations will be used for the particularly family-friendly equipment of the new children's clinic.
Martin Zillner and Daniela Rutz, representing the sustainability team, came to Traunstein Hospital for the symbolic handover of the cheque. They were greeted by senior physician Dr. Ulrich Römer, who gave an insight into the extensive work on the paediatric wards and expressed his admiration for the commitment with so much heart and soul:
"I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the 27 cyclists who accomplished this pioneering feat. Of course, I would also like to thank the MaxSolar sustainability team for the great idea and Mr. Strasser for his generous support. This will now benefit our children in many ways".
